We chose to source our soft, luxury cotton from the ‘green desert’ of Northern Peru because it has an extremely low water footprint compared to most other cotton-growing regions. No groundwater is used to artificially irrigate the crops – it is only thanks to the water that runs down from the mountains each summer that such fine yarn can grow in such an arid region.
